"The Beautiful Game": Celebrating Soccer in Seattle

Seattle Parks & Recreation is featuring special soccer-themed recreation programming while our city hosts the international soccer tournament. We will offer 100+ soccer-related activations citywide, including:

  • 7 outdoor watch parties in neighborhood parks
  • 12 indoor watch parties at community centers
  • 2 youth soccer jamborees
  • 60+ recreation programs reimagined with soccer themes occurring at community centers, parks, and aquatic facilities
  • A variety of activations through the Beautiful Game Grant supporting community-led soccer, futsal, and cultural events

Operational support across SPR will include increased Park Ranger presence, enhanced maintenance and cleaning in parks and at recreation facilities, and park and facility improvements to ensure assets are ready for increased use.
