The City of Seattle’s Boards and Commissions are represented by over 1000 service minded individuals. Board and Commission members are subject matter experts in their respective fields and offer lived experience and diverse perspectives to inform elected officials’ decision making on important issues.

Once you find a position your are interested in, please submit your application. You may also reach out to the board's contact person listed in the Appointment registry below to let them know that you applied.

Member Orientation Training

Congratulations on your City of Seattle Boards and Commissions appointment! All board and commission members are required to complete a Member Orientation Training within 90 days of your appointment. Please contact your department liaison for a link to the online training series.
