Recreation For All Grant

2026 Grant Information

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) and the Seattle Municipal Park District is pleased to announce the 2026 Recreation for All Grant. Community members, organizations, community groups, and small businesses can apply to receive up to $15,000 to provide recreation programming throughout Seattle. This is a reimbursement program; funds will be reimbursed after the completion of the program and submission of all required documentation and invoice.

Application Dates and Timeline

  • January 13, 2026 – application window opens at 8:00AM PST
  • February 10, 2026 – application window closes at 11:59PM PST
  • Community Panel Review: February – March
  • Award Announcements: Late March – Early April 
  • Projects Take Place: May 1 – December 6

All projects must be completed by December 6, 2026. Funds are only for the calendar year and cannot be carried over into the next year.

  2. When you are ready to apply, visit gosmart.org and create an account using the link on the top right of that page. GO Smart will then present the option to fill out an application. If you have any questions about the application process, please email SPRFunds4All@seattle.gov

About the Recreation for All Grant

The Recreation for All Grant provides financial support to local nonprofit organizations, small businesses, community groups, and individuals to provide culturally relevant programs and events throughout the City of Seattle. Programs or events must be held in City of Seattle Parks and Recreation community centers, parks, or facilities in neighborhoods where health and enrichment disparities are prevalent and serve the funds priority populations and communities including people of color, Indigenous communities, immigrant and refugee populations, persons with disabilities, LGBTQIA+, and intergenerational programs.

Recreation For All projects must:

  • Take place in a City of Seattle Community Center, Park, or Facility (such as Pool or Environmental Learning Center),
  • Provide recreation classes, projects, programs, or events to underserved communities,
  • Be free to the public.

Who can apply?

  • Individuals
  • Local community groups
  • Small businesses working within the identified neighborhoods*
  • Non-profit and Not-for-profit organizations*

*Small businesses and non-profits must be under $150,000 in revenue.
