Project Description
We are replacing traditional streetlights, pedestrian lights, and floodlights with light emitting diode (LED) fixtures across our service area to improve energy efficiency and safety. This work does not require planned power outages.
Location
Service area wide.
Community Benefits
- New lights will be more energy efficient and improve street visibility and safety.
- LED bulbs lower carbon emissions by reducing energy consumption.
- Durable LED fixtures reduce energy costs, and long-term maintenance.
- Consistent lighting standards across city streets.
Anticipated Impacts
- Customers can expect parking, sidewalk, and traffic impacts within the work zone.
- Construction vehicles and staging areas may occupy streets or nearby spaces, limiting parking near work zone.
- Temporary noise from bucket truck and equipment use is expected during installation.
- Temporary lighting disruptions while fixtures are replaced.
- No planned power outages are needed to complete this work safely.
